Yet the question lingers if separation was always the ending, what was the meaning of the meeting?
Perhaps it was to teach the depths of love beyond its limits. Perhaps it was to break, so that from the pieces, a stronger self could be rebuilt. Or perhaps it was simply to leave an imprint so deep that even years later, the echo of that presence would still stir in the heart.
Maybe permanence was never the purpose. Perhaps the meeting was meant to awaken what had long been asleep like rain falling on dry soil, not to stay forever, but to bring life for a moment. Maybe it was a reminder that love does not always end with possession, that some connections are beautiful precisely because they cannot be held in a cage.
Some people arrive like seasons they transform, they nurture, and then they leave. No one curses the spring when summer comes. No one begs autumn to stay when winter calls. What remains is the warmth, the colors, and the quiet transformation they left behind.
Perhaps that meeting was also a season-brief, breathtaking, and a gift from the universe to teach a truth that might otherwise have been missed: that love is not always about staying. Sometimes it is about meeting, learning, and then letting go with grace.
So what was the meaning of the meeting? Perhaps the real answer is this, it happened because it was meant to. Not to walk together forever, but to change each other forever.

DeleteEvery time I read your words, I feel understood in a way I can’t quite explain. “Why We Met?” was no exception.
ReplyDeleteIt's like making peace with every version of love: the ones that stayed, and the ones that left. That kind of perspective is rare and so powerful.
I wonder how you gently turn pain into poetry and acceptance into peace. 🫡🙌
